A Community of Growing Ambassadors for Christ

Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church

Good Shepherd is involved in social ministries on a local, state-wide, national, and global level.  Some of the ministries that we support are:

C-CAP is an ecumenical ministry that helps those in need with both a food pantry and with items of seasonal clothing.  C-CAP accepts monetary and material donations from local congregations and individuals.  Members of Good Shepherd include food donations to C-CAP as part of each Sunday’s worship service offering.

Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our nation's decision makers to end hunger.  We are stronger when we act together in Christ's name to help our neighbors.

Good Shepherd is a Bread for the World Covenant Church.

ELCA Disaster Response is the ELCA’s method of responding to natural disasters on a worldwide basis.  In addition to helping out after a disaster, ELCA Disaster Response also provides resources to help individuals become prepared before a disaster strikes.

WCCDV is concerned with helping women and children in situations of domestic violence.  WCCDV provides temporary housing through its shelter, as well as job training and other programs to help women and children transition into new lives.  Members of Good Shepherd regularly supply toiletry and clothing items to the residents of the shelter.
