WHO ARE WE? We are a congregation of the Virginia Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, formally organized June 25, 1942.
We are people struggling with the temptations and experiences of sin in ourselves and in the world around us; struggling to rightly deal with experiences of doubt and fear; failure and success, joys and sorrows, apathy and stress, change and meaninglessness, wearisomeness and loneliness.
We are people called to be Christ’s people who gather to be refreshed and strengthened through God’s Word and the Holy Sacraments to face our daily life challenges and our daily life callings to live in Christ’s name.
We are people called into fellowship with God and with one another by the work of His Holy Spirit among us.
Nourished in His Word and empowered by His Spirit we live to be instruments of His holy purpose and good will in the world who support and nurture each other for life and service in His name.
